Cynthia Nana Debrah proudly serves as the Asantefuohemaa (Queen) of the Asantefuo community in the United Kingdom and Ireland. In this role, she combines her passion for healthcare advocacy with her deep commitment to cultural leadership, working to uplift, unify, and empower communities both in the UK and across the African diaspora.
As Queen, she is devoted to preserving the traditions, values, and identity of the Asante people, ensuring that their rich cultural heritage thrives and contributes meaningfully to integration, community strength, and collective progress.
Her work extends beyond cultural leadership into practical community care, with a special focus on supporting the elderly, including those affected by dementia. She champions programmes that raise awareness, promote early intervention, and foster dignity, inclusion, and respect for older people within African and minority ethnic communities.
Nanahemaa (Queen) collaborates with community leaders, organisations, and individuals to create opportunities for growth, with a strong emphasis on youth development, women’s empowerment, elderly care, and cultural education.
Through her leadership, she strives to build a stronger, healthier, and more resilient future where cultural heritage, compassion, and excellence in healthcare work hand in hand to strengthen generations today and tomorrow.
